Design
Inside and out, we are looking at a cleaner and crisper design for the new Cadenza. The lighter weight means better agility and better aerodynamics. Furthermore, fuel economy numbers could improve. Although lighter, the Cadenza is also stronger from a composition of over 50 percent high strength steel in the body. Kia’s signature “tiger-nose” grille will make an appearance for 2017, along with beautiful LED fog lights. Drivers can choose from either 18-inch or 19-inch wheels.
On the inside, Kia is aiming for a seamless look. This is why the cabin has a slender design with a clean and simple appearance. Drivers can also look forward to the optional Nappa leather upholstery with premium stitching.
Performance
Continuing with design, the Cadenza handling is improved from a 35 percent boost in structural rigidity. Models come with the popular front-wheel drive configuration, due to high customer demand. Expect a standard 3.3L V6 engine with 290 hp and the control of an 8-speed automatic transmission, a step up from its 6-speed automatic predecessor.
Safety
With available Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you can easily connect your smartphone to the infotainment system. This allows drivers to enjoy safe, hands-free talking and texting. For the first time on a Kia model, drivers can add the optional blind spot detection system that monitors your blind spot for potential hazards. In the event of an emergency, the car uses the front-wheel brake to adjust speeds to prevent a collision. The new rigid design of the cabin also creates a safer vehicle, due to the reinforced body.
