The thing about the new Optima is that it just didn’t need fog lights. Kia has designed an integrated lighting system that includes LED Daytime Running Lights and LED tail lights, creating a system that performs the same tasks as fog lights would while creating a clean, simple lighting aesthetic.
According to Kia, fog lights in the past served both appearance and practical functions, so Kia is aiming to bring elements of that classic style into the new Optima while also making it more modern and clean.
The integrated LED system looks sleek and sporty, and the tail lights are especially futuristic in how they wrap around the sides of the car, following current popular designs for the popular LED lighting trend.
