Wiper Replacements

Not all windshield wipers are made equally, but we have simplified steps on how to work with different kinds of windshield wipers.

If have a hook slot connector, then the work is basically done for you, as all you need to do is put the windshield wiper arm at a right angle. Take the flap and attach it to the wiper. You should be able to pull it out, and any problems require simple pliers. After that, you can put on the fresh wiper and slide it until you can hear it or feel it snap into place.

The pin type arm windshield wiper is similar to the hook slot connector, but there is a pin instead of a tab. Press down on the pin on the back of the blade, or you may need to pick the pin out with a screwdriver. After a wiggle or tug, the blade will come out and you can place another one in to match the pins.

The straight end connector is typically the most difficult to change because of its varying designs. Sometimes you can be lucky by using a screwdriver to detach the blade and lock in the new one by sliding it on the arm.
